C&C Group has appointed Wallaces Express MD Brian Calder as CEO of Tennent Caledonian Breweries. The move follows C&C’s acquisition of Wallaces Express – now Wallaces TCB – on 18 March.
The cider and beer manufacturer previously acquired a 50% stake in the business, which supplies the on-trade, in March 2013, in a bid to become a “multi-beverage platform” in the Scottish drinks market.
Outgoing MD John Gilligan is expected to “wind down” over the coming months but will continue to work alongside Calder.
