Liz Cuff - Tracklements

Name: Liz Cuff

Job title: Marketing director

Company: Tracklements

What was your first job? I got my start working for a friend’s sister who ran an events company – doing everything from blowing up balloons to running game stalls. It took me around the country, gave me a hands-on introduction to the events side of marketing, and proved that hard work and fun don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

What’s been your worst job interview? To be honest, I haven’t had a formal interview in over a decade! I’ve been fortunate to grow alongside Tracklements, and being part of its evolution has kept me so engaged that I haven’t needed to look elsewhere.

What was the first music single you bought? It’s far too embarrassing to name, but let’s just say I could still sing every word at karaoke. Not so much pitch perfect, but word perfect, for sure!

“Tracklements exists to make meals more delicious – and that’s a pretty great reason to get out of bed in the morning”

How do you describe your job to your friends? I tell them it’s our job to make sure that when someone walks into a shop, they spot Tracklements on the shelf and know – instantly – that it means incredible taste, top-quality ingredients, and proper sustainability.

It’s fast-paced, always evolving, and honestly, great fun.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Knowing that we’re adding a little joy to people’s lives every single day through food. Tracklements exists to make meals more delicious – and that’s a pretty great reason to get out of bed in the morning.

What is the least rewarding part? Seeing shoppers reach for products without checking what’s in them.

It’s improving, but I’d love more people to read the ingredients. For a brand like Tracklements – where we only use ingredients you’d find in your own kitchen – it makes all the difference.

What is your motto in life? Tracklements’ ethos is “do the right thing even when no one’s watching”. I think that’s a pretty good motto to live life by too. A little kindness goes a long way.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? A Fresh Chilli Jam tap in my kitchen – straight from Tracklements HQ. That’s the dream!

Do you have any phobias? I’m not a fan of an enclosed space – it’s not as far as claustrophobia, but you’ll never see me potholing!

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? We’re a truly hand-crafted brand with artisan budgets, so making enough noise in a busy market is always a challenge, but allows us to flex our creativity muscle.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? Need you ask? A fridge full of Tracklements!

There’s something to instantly improve any meal, and I’m pretty sure being the keeper of the condiments would make me the most popular person on the island!

What animal most reflects your personality? I’d say an ant! They’re all about teamwork, determination, and being industrious. Despite their size, they manage to achieve results far greater than you’d expect, which is exactly how I like to approach things.

What’s your favourite film and why? Mary Poppins has a place in my heart – my grandparents had it on VHS and we’d watch it every time we visited.

Which celebrity would you most like to work with and why? Anya Hindmarch! She’s known for her commitment to quality, sustainability, and her effortlessly authentic, iconic designs that are full of character.

What would your death row meal be? There’s a wonderful restaurant called Upstairs at Landrace in Bath. I’d just get them to come and cook for me. Everything they make is exceptional, and I can’t think of a better meal to go out on.
