The new Tippl fascia is a variant of Bestway Retail’s Wine Rack

Bestway has opened its first Tippl store, the second of its new symbol formats.

The fascia opened this week in Garforth using the strapline ‘Drink, eat, explore’.

It offers a wide range of wines, spirits, ales and craft larger, cider and mixers alongside a high-end convenience offer.

In addition Tippl features a ‘drink-in’ area as well as fresh draught ale on tap to take away.

The store, which is an extension of its Wine Rack format, includes food to go with barista coffee and pastries.

Its grocery offer includes stone-baked pizzas, loaded nachos, gourmet frozen food and a range of chilled and ambient snacks.

Bestway Retail opened BBs, an addition to its Bargain Booze offer, the first of its two new convenience brands earlier this month in Buxton.

“We are extremely proud to reveal the second of two brand new formats this week,” said a Bestway spokesman. “Following on from the successful launch of BBs, we are now incredibly excited to reveal our new premium-led drinks format – Tippl. Two amazing brand new formats in two weeks. Watch this space for more exciting developments at Bestway Retail.”

Bestway took over the Bargain Booze and Wine Rack brands as part of its acquisition of Conviviality Retail for £7.25m in April 2018.
