Jacob’s has unveiled two snacking ranges aimed to broaden its appeal.
It has extended Mini Cheddars with Cheeselets, “tangy, square-shaped snacks with a delicious crunch”.
Billed as the “biggest flavour-led innovation for Mini Cheddars in recent years”, Cheeselets have debuted in Intensely Cheesy and Intensely Cheese & Onion (rsp: £2/150g & £1.25 PMP).
“We know that teenagers and young adults want to enjoy bolder, louder and crunchier savoury snacks,” said Mini Cheddars senior brand manager Ciaran Conway.
“Step in Mini Cheddars Cheeselets, with tangy bold flavours that bring a new flavour adventure to a new generation of snackers.”
Meanwhile, Jacob’s has extended Crinklys with Crinklys Big in Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Prawn Cocktail (rsp: £2/150g & £1.25 PMP).
The snacks offered shoppers “a more satisfying eat” than standard Crinklys, said Crinklys brand manager Solène Conanec.
“The larger format not only amplifies the signature crunch and flavour consumers already love from Crinklys but also fits into the growing demand for snacks that can be enjoyed together,” Conanec added.
Both ranges are in grocery, wholesale and convenience stores.
Pladis stablemate Tuc this month unveiled a duo of savoury sandwich biscuits, Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream Flavour and Sandwich Cream Cheese & Chive Flavour.
