Valentine’s Day 2026 is shaping up to be another key battleground for UK supermarkets, as retailers roll out their annual dine-in deals while attempting to hold prices steady in a market still under pressure from inflation and loyalty pricing.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co-op and Waitrose have all announced multi-course meal deals priced between £10 and £25, with most retailers sticking close to last year’s price points. Tesco has added an extra side to its £20 Finest deal, Co-op remains the cheapest option at £10 for members, and Waitrose continues to push furthest up the premium curve with scallops, beef wellington and DOCG prosecco.

Across the board, the ranges reflect an ongoing premiumisation drive – from steak and seafood mains to restaurant-style desserts. Retailers are now competing less on absolute price and more on how much perceived value they can pack into a fixed deal format.

Tesco will roll out its Finest Valentine’s Dine In from 9 February, priced at £20 with a Clubcard. The deal includes one starter, one main, two sides, one dessert and one drink for two, with the addition of a second side marking the key format change for 2026. More than half of the range is new this year.

Morrisons’ The Best Valentine’s Day Dine In Meal Deal will run from 4-14 February, offering a starter, main, side, dessert and drink for two for £15. The menu is drawn entirely from its The Best range.

Starters include Antipasti Selection, Prawn Cocktails, Scallop & King Prawn Thermidor Gratins and Tear & Share Camembert Wreath. Mains range from Rump Steak with Pink Peppercorn Butter and Marry Me Chicken to Pulled Beef Lasagna and Salmon En Croûte. Sides include Triple Cooked Chunky Chips, Roast Baby Potatoes with Wild Garlic Butter and Cauliflower Cheese, while desserts feature Amaretto Tiramisu, Heritage Raspberry Panna Cotta Heart Pot and Chocolate Melt-in-the-Middle Fondants. Drink options span beers, prosecco, wines and soft drinks.

Waitrose is bringing back its £25 Valentine’s Dine In for 10-15 February, covering a starter, main, side and dessert plus a drink for two, built from a curated No.1 menu. It’s positioned as a bigger-ticket option than rivals Tesco or Sainsbury’s, with a wider spread of premium proteins and restaurant-style starters.

A few of the more attention-grabbing choices include No.1 Scallops & King Prawns with Roasted Garlic West Country Butter, No.1 British Beef Wellington, and desserts such as No.1 Ruby Chocolate & Raspberry Mousse. Drinks choices include wine, beer and ready-to-pour cocktails.

“This year, food lovers will be able to show their love on Valentine’s Day with our restaurant-quality £25 Valentine’s Dine In meal deal. With savings of up to £23, almost 50% off, what is not to love?” says Waitrose head of innovation Samantha Angell.

Waitrose is also pushing its Dishpatch meal kits Valentine’s menus. There are five exclusive menus available, including Atul Kochhar’s Valentine’s Biryani, Cafe Murano’s Valentine’s Baked Gnocchi, LIMA’s A Taste of Nikkei, Michel Roux’s Dinner à Deux, and Paul Ainsworth’s Champagne Monkfish Celebration.

These menus will be delivered on Valentine’s weekend only, on either Friday 13 or Saturday 14 February.
