Co-op is adding 21 new lines to its summer 2026 food-to-go range, including 10 new mains and 11 new snacks for its lunchtime meal deal, as it looks to tap into demand for trend-led flavours and premium lunch options.

New mains include Irresistible Korean Chicken Sando with Gochujang Aioli, Irresistible Beef Burrito Wrap with Birria Dip, Limited Edition Smoky Tomato Cheese sandwich and Karaage Chicken Dragon Rolls, while new snacks span Chicken Gyros Parcels, Chorizo & Gouda Snack Pot, Margherita Calzone Parcels and gluten-free sweet treats such as Victoria Sponge and Cherry Bakewell cakes.

The deli category has seen substantial growth recently, with value sales rising 6.7% to nearly £3bn last year, according to our Focus On Deli. Volume sales also increased by 3% during this period, led by small plate occasions of which ther are now an estimated 1.7 billion annually, while online searches for “premium” products at major retailers were up alongside searches for charcuterie and Wagyu beef.

Alongside the meal deal launches, Co-op is also introducing limited-edition Dill Pickle Ridge Cut Crisps, inspired by the recent viral pickle trend on social media. The retailer said it sold more than 10 million bags of own-label crisps last year, while searches for ‘pickle’ on its website have risen by 152%.

“Pickles are having a huge moment and our new crisps hits that bold, tangy sweet spot shoppers can’t get enough of,” says Co-op product developer manager for crisps, snacks and nuts, Natalie Dawe. ” We know our crisps are cult classics, so we’ve taken a trend that’s exploding online and turned it into something that feels right at home in our range.”

Co-op’s standard meal deal is priced at £3.75 for members and £4.10 for non-members, while its premium meal deal costs £5.50 for members and £6 for non-members.:
