Co-op is expanding its Halloween offer this year, with a new wave of own-label confectionery, bakery and savoury snacks aimed at parties, trick-or-treating and family nights in.
New launches range from Toffee Popcorn Brains and Sticky Toffee Apple Flapjacks to sour apple-filled doughnuts, Monster Mash Cookies and sub-£1 gummy sweets. The retailer is also bringing back a number of last year’s seasonal favourites, including Haunted House Brownies, spooky cupcakes and its Trick or Treat Bag.
Halloween décor starts from £1, pumpkins from £1.15, and a run of wine promotions will kick in from mid-October. A useful tactic for Co-op, given Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, likely to create a bigger opportunity around last-minute parties and entertaining. The retailer aims to take a cut of the increasing value sales of chocolate and sugar confectionery, which reached £710.1m in the four weeks to 1 November 2025 [NIQ].
