Italians know a thing or two about tomatoes. One Italian in particular: Antonio Carluccio, now the face of Cirio, one of Europe’s biggest preserved tomato producers. Cirio produces an enormous range of canned and ambient tomato products, available in more than 90 countries, which all make their way from field to can in less than 24 hours. So we sent reporter Ellis Hawthorne out to Pomposa on Italy’s North East coast to talk tomatoes with Carluccio. Here’s what she found…
