Cook franchisees could earn more than £40,000 in their first year of trading, the frozen ready meals retailer has claimed.
The chain laid out plans in April to allow other businesses to run Cook-branded stores and last month revealed that its first franchise would open in Reigate later this year.
Franchisees were expected to earn pre-tax profits of £43,710 on average in the first year, £49,179 in the second year and £70,982 in the third year, on sales of £380,000, £420,000 and £460,000 respectively, the chain said on its website.
Additional income could be earned by supplying local pubs and cafés, it added.
Franchisees would need to find initial capital of between £55,000 and £65,000 for fitting out their store and a one-off £18,000 licence fee, Cook said.
The scheme is set to be officially launched at a franchise exhibition in Birmingham in October.
