Parfetts said sales at the site rose by 28% for the six months to June this year

Parfetts has reported that it has turned round the fortunes of the former Blakemore Wholesale depot in Middlesbrough.

The cash & carry operator bought the Middlesbrough depot for £800,000 in June 2018 as part of Blakemore’s exit from the cash & carry sector. Parfetts said this week that sales at the site rose by 28% for the six months to June this year.

“The Middlesbrough team has worked hard to deliver exceptional service to retailers,” said Joe Kaye, general manager of Parfetts Middlesbrough. “Parfetts’ reputation has attracted new customers to our retail club and new fascia members.”

Parfetts said it had also signed up 15 stores in the north east to its Go Local fascia over the same six-month period.
