Pesto specialist Sacla' is to launch its first range of cooking sauces designed to serve one person.
The Per Uno range consists of two ambient sauces (rsp: £1.99) Bolognese with Minced Beef and Smoked Bacon with Italian Tomato which are designed to be warmed in a pan and added to pasta or used as a baked potato topping.
"As more people choose to live alone or in busy households with people coming and going, there are times when we have to eat alone but don't want to resort to fast food or microwave meals," said Sacla UK MD Clare Blampied.
"Sacla' Per Uno sauces are perfect for singles, students and busy families eating at different times; a simple solution for midweek meals and the perfect store cupboard item,"she added.
The sauces will be available in Asda, Tesco and The Co-operative Group stores from July.
