Sainsbury’s has launched a mobile optimised version of its grocery shopping website.

Shoppers can pick from 20,000 items for home delivery, or use click & collect. Shoppers placing an order by 2pm can have it delivered the next day or collect their order from one of 870 stores.

Tanya Lawler, director of digital & cross channel, said Sainsbury’s had learnt from launching a mobile site for its non-food range last year.

“We have used the knowledge and feedback gained to produce a complete mobile shopping experience,” said Lawler.

Majestic Wine has also optimised its site for mobile users. Customers can browse the full range and get free delivery.
