Seabrook Crisps is branching into healthier crisps as it accelerates its plans to expand distribution into the south.

The new Goodbye Salt, Hello Flavour range, available now, contains 90% less salt than Seabrook's standard crisps, and arrive in four jacket potato-based flavours Mediterranean Tomato & Herbs, Tommy Ketchup, Caramelised Onion, and Creamy Butter (rsp: £1.99/multipack of six and 65p per 40g pack).

Seabrook claimed the range was the first on the market without salt that still tasted good and said retailers in the south had been "particularly keen" to list the healthier crisps.

"It has taken huge amounts of development and research to create crisps that live up to our taste reputation as well as enabling the nation to continue eating crisps while also reducing its salt intake," said chairman and CEO Ken Brook-Chrispin.
