A risqué three week TV advertising campaign for Heinz microwaveable soups breaks on October 30. Heinz's four bestselling canned varieties ­ cream of tomato, cream of chicken, vegetable and cream of mushroom soups ­ are now available in microwave pots (rsp 79p). Both 30 second executions in the £2m marketing drive focus on the benefit of the soup being ready in just two minutes. In the first ad a couple are lying in bed together, the man sighs and gives the woman a cheeky smile. She hops out and walks over to the microwave just as it pings. In the second spot a balding man is given a two minute haircut. Julian Dunn, Heinz general manager, soups, said: "Both ads really get the message across that microwavable soup is ready in next to no time." {{P&P }}
