Northern Irish off-licence chain Wineflair has posted a 41% sales hike.

The Top 50 indie recorded sales of £35m, up from £25m in the year to 30 September, according to accounts filed at Companies House. However, pre-tax profits fell 9% to £520,861.

In the accounts, the directors said they would continue to “seek opportunities to increase business both organically and through acquisition” with expansion focused on the off-trade rather than grocery.
