Sainsbury’s gave a press tour of its Nine Elms store in Battersea, London – which it described as a “window into the new world” of the business. The site has a definite department store feel, with 61,000 sq ft, 90,000 SKUs and numerous concessions. These include its first Habitat and Sushi Gourmet installations, as well as TU clothing, Argos, delicatessen, butcher, free-from and Lloydspharmacy areas.
