Tangerine Confectionery has received the Halal Seal of Approval for its Barratt, Mojo, Princess and Taveners Proper Sweets ranges.
The Halal Food Authority conducted a review of Tangerine’s UK operations and awarded certification for 150 lines as well as approving processes at all eight production sites.
The approval came after stringent checks by independent food technologists and auditors across every stage of the production process from initial sourcing of ingredients to the finished product.
“Halal and its focus on ingredient purity and traceability, product content and production excellence is fundamental to how Tangerine makes sweets,” said Tangerine head of marketing Gill Lanty.
