Tesco is continuing to delist Princes products, months after The Grocer reported a trade dispute had broken out between the two businesses.
The number of Princes products currently stocked by Tesco is 215 - down from 282 this time last year, according to BrandView.com data.
Asda has increased the number of Princes products it stocks by about 70 over the period, and Sainsbury’s by about 25.
Research by The Grocer last year showed Tesco had dropped around 75 Princes lines in the three months to 8 October. The delistings continue, with research showing Tesco has dropped a further 28 Princes products since then - while just 12 have gone from Sainsbury’s, and six from Asda.
Princes products delisted by Tesco in recent months include Mazola and Crisp ’N Dry oils; Napolina lines including tomatoes and olives; and Princes hot dogs.
Tesco has listed or relisted some Princes lines, but even taking these into account the net result is a drop of 15 products since last October, while Sainsbury’s has dropped eight. Asda, meanwhile, has increased its number of Princes products by 22.
Neither Tesco nor Princes would comment.
