Weetabix and Kit Kat are getting new looks and identities to mark the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic celebrations.

Weetabix is launching a special-edition pack emblazoned with the words “Fuel Britannia” in the place of the usual Weetabix branding, which appears in smaller type on the box.

The design, created by agency Springetts, also features bunting highlighting the brand’s 80th birthday and includes the Royal Warrant of Approval from the Queen. The bunting will also appear on Weetabix Chocolate and Weetabix Minis from May to July in all major supermarkets.

Nestlé, meanwhile, has temporarily rebranded its Kit Kit multipacks “Brit Kat” to mark the Jubilee. Available now, Kit Kat four-finger multipacks have been given a patriotic makeover with the new name, which will run for a limited period, and a Union Jack flag design. The backs of packs display a timeline showing the history of the brand and invites the nation to ‘Join us in a Jubilee Break’.
