Welcome to The Grocer’s annual Top Products Survey. Each year, we work in association with Nielsen to deliver a comprehensive analysis of over 100 categories in grocery. This year, food and drink brands are finding themselves in an uncomfortable spotlight, with Brexit pressures choking supply and stalling innovation. Sales growth is stalling. Fifty-eight of the 112 fmcg categories measured by the Top Products Survey are in decline, dragging down the market value by £8m. So who’s struggling – and who’s sprouted wings?
