Batleys has appointed two regional controllers as part of the integration of its cash and carry and pet products divisions.
John Wales and Rob Whittington join regional controllers Mike Bailey and Paul Woodthorpe and will be responsible for six depots each.
Prior to the appointments, Bailey and Woodthorpe were responsible for all 18 of the company’s cash and carry outlets as well as its 15 Batleys Pet Products depots.
Following the amalgamation of six BPP depots, they will be responsible for six each and the remainder of the C& C depots.
Wales will oversee the company’s depots in north east England and Scotland. He joined 11 years ago as night shift manager at Cleveland. His last post was Batleys Pet Products controller in Bolton.
Whittington’s last role was general manager at Batleys’ Birmingham C& C. He began working for Batleys as manager of its Southampton depot in 1999, moving on to manage Swindon. His current role puts him in charge of all three depots as well as those at Bristol, Cardiff and Heathfield, Devon.
