Iain Bell has been promoted to general manager of Parfetts’ Somercotes depot, following Graham Jagger’s move to head the Sheffield depot due to open later this year.
Bell has been deputy general manager of the depot since Parfetts took it over from Watson & Philip 10 years ago.
Prior to this, he worked for Watson & Philip, starting as a grocery buyer before moving into various management roles, including a period as general manager at its Doncaster depot.
His grocery career began at Fine Fare where he worked his way up through the management training scheme.In 1984, Bell left to join wholesaler Lonsdale & Thompson as a grocery buyer and later became grocery trade sector manager.
Former senior buyer at Somercotes, Richard Mason, will be taking over as depot deputy general manager.
