Coca-Cola has agreed to allow up to 20% of shelf space in its fridges to stock drinks from rival companies following an EU deal.

The drinks giant reached an agreement yesterday with the EU whereby it agreed to end its exclusivity deal that prevents some customers from stocking competitors’ drinks.

The investigation was originally launched in 1999 after PepsiCo filed a complaint with the EU. IN Europe Coke has a 50% market share while Pepsi has just 10%, according to newspaper reports.
