Lever Fabergé is adding two new fragrances to its Comfort laundry care portfolio, including the first variant of ironing aid Vaporesse, and backing the newcomers with a £5m marketing spend. The fmcg giant has worked with perfume houses to create new Passion Flower & Ylang Ylang and Mandarin & Green Tea fragrances. The first of these will be introduced in concentrated and diluted fabric conditioners, Keep Fresh sachets and tumble drier sheets as well as Vaporesse. The second new perfume will only be available in the two fabric conditioner formats. All products roll out from the end of this month. TV ads featuring cloth characters Darren and Lisa will spearhead the marketing campaign from April. Posters and extensive instore sampling and demos will follow. Assistant brand manager Louise Jeeves said contemporary fragrances would attract new users. "Fragrance accounts for around half the choices consumers make over laundry care products," she said. {{P&P }}
