Eurospar retailer Conrad Davies is on the hunt for new stores.

Speaking at the ACS Summit, Davies who has four stores in Wales, including two of the first Eurospar stores in mainland Britain said he was keen to build his portfolio.

"I can see more Eurospars being opened," he said. "It's something I'd really like to do."

Davies said his biggest challenge since taking on the Eurospar stores had been to change customers' perception that Spar was a convenience store where they would not be able to do a full weekly shop.

He added that he hoped to add cafés to the stores within the next two years and that his ultimate ambition was to run his own farm.

"I would love to rear animals for our stores," he said. "We already own our own butchers so a farm would really make sense."
