Freshbake’s administrative receivers have sold its confectionery manufacturing business in Hartlepool to a management buyout team.
A new company, Bonne Bouche, headed by Freshbake sales director Wayne Hitchman, has taken over the business and the workforce of about 300 has transferred to the new company.
Hitchman said: “Bonne Bouche will be at the forefront of quality and innovation that will provide our customers with unique and exciting desserts and opportunities to drive real growth in this interesting sector”
Freshbake bought the Hartlepool business from Hibernia Foods in December, after that company went into receivership.
