Ginsters has overhauled its pie range, reducing the size of its individual pies from 250g to 180g and introducing a range of 550g family-sized pies.
The move was prompted by research that suggested many pies on the market were the wrong size, said head of marketing Andy Valentine.
“We believe many individual pies currently available are too big for one person but not quite big enough for two,” he said. “As consumers increasingly adopt a quality-not-quantity approach to their food consumption, we’ve created the perfect one-person sized pie and at the same time created the perfect family-sized pie.”
The individual pies will be available in steak and chicken & mushroom, rsp £1.79, while the larger pies will come in steak and chicken, rsp £3.99. In May Ginsters re-branded its entire portfolio as Ginsters from Cornwall in a bid to highlight its Cornish roots.
