Greene King's marketing director Stuart Hawthorn is moving to Refresh UK as marketing director to boost sales of brands such as Hobgoblin and Löwenbräu.
Hawthorn began his career in the brewing industry with 12 years' experience at Scottish & Newcastle. In 1997 he became take-home sales director of Morland. He progressed to Greene King as off-trade sales director, finally becoming marketing director there.
Chief executive Rupert Thompson said: "We are delighted that Stuart has decided to join us and we are convinced he will add another dimension to our thinking."
Hawthorn said: "I'm looking forward to working with the Refresh team in developing the whole portfolio."
