Martin McColl has rebranded half of its stores and is on track to complete the rebranding of all 1,300 of its fascias by October.

The new fascias will include suppliers' logos, which will also be added to existing Martin's and McColl's fascias. Brands to be featured include Stella Artois and The Sun.

Earlier this year, chairman James Lancaster told The Grocer the company was converting all its CTNs to the Martin's fascia, and all convenience stores to the McColl's fascia.

The move is part of a wider £43m exercise in which shops will also be revamped internally.

Paul Taylor, general marketing manager for Martin McColl, formerly TM Retail, said: "The rebranding has been successful - 50% of stores have been completed and we're on track to complete it by October."

The rebranding was moving north, he said, with stores in Scotland the last to be overhauled. Meanwhile, a new McColl's store is due to open in Bromyard, West Midlands, next month.?
