Neil McCann has announced his retirement from fresh produce company Fyffes after 55 years.
Fyffes said that McCann was stepping down as a non-executive director, a position he has held since December 2003 when he retired as chairman.

Fyffes said he had been the driving force behind the development of the business into one of the world’s largest fresh produce companies with sales in excess of 12bn.
Fyffes added: “McCann has been an extraordinary leader and an inspiration to everyone.”
n Fyffes has also appointed Coen Bos, MD of Fyffes’ tropical produce division, and Rory Byrne, MD of Fyffes’ general produce division, to the board.
