Lees Foods chairman and CEO Raymond Miquel, who stepped in to rescue the business in 1993 when it was close to bankruptcy, has left the company. Lees said a new board structure would be announced later this month.

Neil Chandler, CEO of Sainsbury's Bank, is set to join Littlewoods owner Shop Direct Group as financial services CEO in December. He has been CEO of Sainsbury's Bank for 18 months.

Glenn Anderson has been named director of sales and operations for Dawn Foods UK & Ireland. He joined the distribution division of Dawn Foods in 2001 and most recently led two US distribution centres. Dawn Foods has also appointed Harold Bink as product manager, Europe.

Scott Price has been appointed president and chief executive of Wal-Mart Asia. Price, who was chief executive of DHL Express Europe, will take up the role on 15 October and will be based in Wal-Mart's regional office in Hong Kong.

Nigel Robertson, non-executive director for Morrisons, will chair the supermarket chain's new corporate compliance and responsibility committee. Non-exec Susan Murray is set to retire from Morrisons' board of directors on 31 December.

Sarah Morris has joined Giles Foods as national accounts executive. She will be responsible for developing the company's business with wholesale distributors, food manufacturers, restaurants and pub chains in the north of Britain and Ireland.

Stock Spirits Group has named Dario Covi regional director. He will be responsible for the company's brands in Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria and Austria.
