PR Brands, the spirits division of international drinks group Pernod Ricard, is continuing the expansion of its Irish whiskey portfolio under a dedicated marketing team. James Slack is to become marketing manager of the Jameson, Blackbush and Bushmills brands, with new brands development manager Andrew Cowan reporting to him. The two will focus on raising brand awareness of the "What's the Rush" positioning of the Jameson brand, and increasing its presence in the on-trade sector. Slack, who joined PR Brands in 1999, has worked in category management roles across the portfolio, and previously at laundry products specialist Reckitt Benckiser. Cowan, who comes in from Irish Distillers, has international drinks experience with Jameson and Havana Club in Oslo, Norway.
