Coors Brewing Worldwide president Peter Swinburn is returning to the UK to become chief executive of Coors Brewers, the European business unit of Molson Coors Brewing Company.
He will replace Peter Kendall, who has announced his retirement, on May 1. Swinburn has been with Coors Brewers, which was previously Bass Brewers, for 30 years, and took up his current role in 2003. He has been responsible for international sales and operations throughout the world - excluding the UK and Europe.
Swinburn was previously chief operating officer and sales director for Coors Brewers’ beer brands, including Carling, Grölsch and Worthington, in the UK. He was also a chairman of Tradeteam, a logistics company jointly owned by Coors Brewers and Ocean Group, and a director of Grölsch UK, a joint Coors-Grölsch venture.
Changes at Coors have been designed to consolidate the business into four units - Coors Brewing Company, Molson Canada, Coors Brewers and Cervejarias Kaiser.
