The True Taste Wales Food and Drink Awards 2003/4 were launched last week by Rachel Rowland, co-founder of Rachel's Organic Dairy.
Rowland, who was chosen as the Ambassador of the year in last year's awards, told a reception at London's Intercontinental Hotel: "The awards have provided individual companies with a platform to promote not only their own products but the industry as a whole, and I hope more businesses will take advantage of the opportunity and enter this year.
"I believe Wales is the hidden ingredient in all the best foods and I am proud to be involved in such an important initiative."
Sponsors of this year's awards include Asda and HTV.
