Thunderbirds are go this winter with the arrival of a host of licensed products in the wake of the Gerry Anderson classic returning in digitally remastered form on BBC 2. Lady Penelope is truly FAB again on a novelty cake, part of a set of four collectible gift cakes launched by Hazlewood Foods. A large party cake decorated with a scaled down version of Tracy Island rounds off the collection. Chris Monks, sales and marketing director of Hazlewood's Grocery Division, said: "The appeal of Thunderbirds is timeless, giving us a rare opportunity to bring to market licensed products that will be bought for aging space cadets as well as their kids." HP Foods is also stealing some of the Tracy Brothers' classic's thunder with a new tin of novelty pasta shapes for kids. HP's marketing manager Yvonne Adam said: "Our new HP pasta shape meal really captures the spirit of adventure that is Thunderbirds, especially when you consider the interactive nature of the shapes themselves." {{P&P }}
