It will be shedding more of its assets, following the sale of its Brazilian margarine brands in a bid to increase its global profit margins, according to reports in the FT.

Waitrose is trialling the use of environmentally friendly polythene bags for milk, according to the Mail on Sunday. The retailer is piloting the project with farmers' co-operative Calon Wen to offer a greener way to buy milk. The milk comes in lightweight eco paks, which can then be transferred to a reusable milk jug for storage - cutting down on packaging waste.

A chain of regal food shops is set to grace the high street, according to reports in The Sun. The paper said Prince Charles would be opening a chain of organic food shops, which will stock his Duchy Originals range. The first store is scheduled to open next year in the town of Tetbury, Gloucestershire. All profit from the shops will go to the prince's charities, it said.
