Homeland buys Albertsons stores


Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: Supermarket chain Homeland, a subsidiary of Associated Wholesale Grocers, has acquired seven stores from Supervalu-owned Albertsons for an undisclosed sum. The stores are situated in Oklahoma City, Norman, Bethany and Muskogee and will take Homeland's portfolio to 69 stores. "We intend to make this a seamless transition," said Darryl Fitzgerald, CEO of Homeland. "It will be business as usual and customers will see minimal changes in the stores
