An organic pomegranate & apple juice drink from James White Drinks, which it claims is the first organic pomegranate drink on the market, reached Tesco shelves last month. The drink adds to the company's range of organic fruit juices made with farm-pressed apple or pear juice. According to MD Lawrence Mallinson, the drink has gone down very well in health food shops.

Two recent product launches from Calypso Soft Drinks has extended the company's range of healthy options for children. The new smoothies feature The Incredibles (strawberry) and Toy Story (tropical) and are among the first products to be introduced as part of a strategic partnership between the company and Disney Consumer Products.

Bio-synergy has launched a range of branded smoothies for kids. The company's Marvel Heroes branded smoothies come in three variants - orange, mango & banana; apple, pineapple & blackcurrant; and pear, strawberry & blueberry - in 250ml lunchbox-sized cartons.

Sunraysia, a brand born in Australia in 1985, enters the UK market in Waitrose this month. The new Pure Squeezed range has been especially created for the UK, with products such as 100% prune juice, pure squeezed health juices and fruit crush drinks

Hero has developed Fruit2day, a 205ml drink containing concentrated juices with suspended fruit pieces. Available in mango & peach, strawberry & orange and pineapple & banana flavours, the products arrived in Sainsbury, Asda, Morrisons and The Co-operative Group stores in January.

Rubicon is the latest company to jump on the pomegranate bandwagon, with the addition of the juice to its portfolio. Its pomegranate juice comes in 288ml and one-litre cartons and will be launched next month.

A pureéd fruit juice for kids has been created by Ella's Kitchen to help children to get their five portions a day. The company's Smoothie Fruits come in 90g squeezy pouches in two flavours - The Red One (strawberries, bananas, apples and raspberries) and The Yellow One (mangoes, bananas, apples and apricots). The products have been inspired by the adult smoothie market.
