Soft drinks group Nichols has named former Asda and Tesco board member John Longworth as a non-executive director.
Longworth currently holds a non-executive role on the board of The Co-operative Group and is on the panel of the Competition Commission.
He joins the Vimto maker as a replacement for Jonathan Diggines, who is stepping down from the board.
“John brings a vast wealth of relevant experience that will help take us onto our next level of development and growth,” said group chairman John Nichols.
Nichols said Diggines had made an “enormous contribution” to the company’s development.
