The Arndale Centre in Wandsworth, south London, is undergoing redevelopment and rebranding ­ as Southside ­ by Portfolio Holdings. The £70m programme will involve rebuilding part of the complex. Waitrose is in discussions ­ expected to be tied up by Christmas ­ to take a store of around 35,000 sq ft. Work will begin in March and Waitrose is set to open its doors in autumn 2003. M&S is also rumoured to be showing interest in the centre for its Simply Food operation. {{PROPERTY }}
