Wallace and Gromit will be encouraging kids to get more calcium by putting their name to new cheeses.
Wensleydale Dairy Products, has come up with a branded range to support the duo’s first feature-length film, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
Inspired by the film’s vegetable theme, which features the pair as humane pest-controllers, the cheesemaker’s trio of flavours - Wensleydale with Carrot and Orange,
Leicester with Leeks, and Cheddar with Cherrybell Peppers and Sundried Tomatoes - form the basis of new products for the chiller cabinet, deli and a gift range. These include a 200g Wensleydale Waxed Truckle (rsp: £1.99), Vegetable Plot striped cheese (rsp: £1.99) and a boxed set of Cheese Truckle, Middle-Aged Spread (caramelised onion chutney) and crackers (£5.99).
Selected products launch in Morrisons this month to tie in with the film’s UK release on October 14 - while the gift range will be in Tesco as part of its Christmas range.
