JW Filshill was crowned Champion of Champions at the Scottish Wholesale Awards in Edinburgh this week.

It was the fourth time MD Ronnie Hannah had lifted the trophy since the event started seven years ago. The judges praised Scotland's oldest food and drink wholesaler for its

"resilience and success in a challenging environment" and its "expertise in a range of trading disciplines".

The family firm was also awarded Best Retailer Development Programme and was runner-up in a further four categories.

"We are obviously delighted to have won, and everyone at the company worked hard to help us win the award," said Hannah. "We are just getting on with the business of providing our customers with the best possible value."

Other winners on the night included Booker, Makro, 3663 First For Foodservice, Wallaces Express and Iain Hill.
