Wholesalers are getting in the party spirit for the Diamond Jubilee with new ranges and competitions.

Bestway has launched a 100-strong range of Jubilee-themed goods, in what it claims is the biggest range it has ever offered for an event.

Products include red, white and blue bunting, balloons, flags, baseball caps and souvenir items.

“I am convinced all our independent retailer customers will see some good sales from the items we have secured,” said Salim Setra, non-foods negotiator for Bestway.

Booker, meanwhile, is offering shoppers at its Premier stores the chance to win a Mini. Shoppers will be asked to enter the competition either by text or via the symbol group’s website, www.premier-stores.co.uk.

Promotions will also run from now until mid-June to mark the Jubilee, including a better-than-half-price deal on Bold ‘2 in 1’ 25 Wash at £3.59, Carlsberg 10-pack fridge packs at £6.49 and two packs of M&M’s for 80p.
