The brand has added a Rosé and a Chardonnay (both 13.5% abv) to its lineup

Accolade Wines is expanding its fledgling B.Ink brand with a duo of new wines.

The brand, which debuted in 2022 with a South Australian Red Blend, has added a Rosé and a Chardonnay (both 13.5% abv) to its lineup (rsp: £9/750ml).

The Rosé, a blend, offered “long-lasting, sweet-fruit flavours mixing strawberry, guava and citrus with hints of red berries”, said Accolade.

The Chardonnay, meanwhile, was “a medium to full-bodied wine, combining vanilla and toasted hazelnut flavours with rich peach and citrus”, with “a creamy mouthfeel”.

The brand is targeted at introducing young professionals to the wine category. Chardonnay made up over a third of the brand’s target consumers’ wine spend, Accolade said, while rosé blends were “the highest-value rosé varietal” and “a popular choice for B.Ink’s younger audience”.

Thanks to its “modern, paint-splatted packaging and bold flavours”, the brand would appeal to “non-typical wine drinkers”, said brand manager Anne Uva.

“Now we’re armed with the full range of red, white, and rosé, we’re confident we can drive sales in the months ahead and build awareness of this contemporary, new edition to wine shelves.”

The brand was also “looking to sample the products in new spaces for wine” in 2023, “focusing on creative, urban events that inspire, including exciting partnerships to be unveiled with the art world”.

The launch will be backed by a digital campaign in October with influencer activity and paid social media.
