Aldi adds cava built to ‘balance against the chill of ice’

Aldi is launching an Ice Cava it says is “expertly formulated to balance against the chill of ice”.

The semi-seco cava is billed as having flavour notes of stone fruits and fresh flowers, with an aroma of tropical fruits and fine bubbles (£6.99/75cl).

Aldi said the cava (11.5% abv) could be compared to Möet & Chandon’s Ice Impérial Champagne, which retails for about £45 per 75cl bottle.

It launches online and in stores from 13 July.
