The deal will see Brakes offer a 100-strong list of wines from around the world

Brakes has partnered with upmarket booze distributor Bibendum.

The tie-up will see the foodservice supplier offer a 100-strong range of wines from around the world, as well as a broader selection of spirits, beers, ciders, soft drinks and mixers “capturing the latest on-trade trends”.

It will also see Brakes customers given access to advice from Bibendum staff on wine list selection, market insights, merchandising tips and staff training.

The tie-up would combine “Brakes’ market-leading excellence in food wholesaling and national scale logistics with the best quality wines from one of the UK’s leading wine specialists”, said Brakes customer marketing director Leon French.

It would “allow them to consolidate their order by combining their drinks requirements with other products”, reducing the number of deliveries needed and delivering “a positive environmental impact”.
