Asda is increasing the size of the Red Tractor logo on all its British meat to demonstrate its support for domestic sourcing.

New packs, which will be launched soon, will feature a 50%-larger logo on the front of packs, while packaging to be introduced in future will also include cooking tips on the front.

"Asda is determined to source as much meat as possible from British farms and to promote this to our consumers," said red meat buying manager Jim Viggars. "We are committed to a sustainable, profitable UK red meat sector."
