It takes some effort to beat serving a 55% abv beer encased a dead squirrel, but BrewDog may have topped its previous endeavours by brewing a beer on the ocean floor.

Last week the Scots independent brewer rolled out its 7.1% abv beer Sunk Punk. The new beer was brewed at the bottom of the North Sea in a specially developed tank that flew the Jolly Roger flag.

Earlier this year Brewdog unveiled its Equity for Punks fundraising scheme, which aimed to generate £2.2m cash to plough into the business.
