Premium spirits distributor Mangrove has launched Jamaica Inn Black Ginger Rum in to the UK.
The 40% abv spirit has rolled out into Cornwall-based Constantine Stores, with an eye to landing it in further independent and regional specialist retailers (rsp: £22/70cl).
A three year-aged blend of Jamaican pot and column stills, it was infused with ginger to give it “a bold flavour profile” alongside “hints of lemongrass and citrus”, said the brand.
Jamaica Inn was “an authentic Jamaican flavoured rum of quality and commercial viability”, said Mangrove MD Nick Gillett. “It is a brand which we are focusing on building at the forefront of our Mangrove rum portfolio.”
Mangrove is also seeking international distribution for the brand.
