McVitie’s owner Pladis this week delivered a one-of-a-kind cake to Windsor Castle as a gift for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who celebrated their platinum (70th) wedding anniversary. When the royal couple married in 1947, their cake was provided by Scottish biscuit maker McVitie & Price.
